Hall effect experiment manual.
The purpose of this exercise is to demonstrate the Hall effect.
The electric current is the movement of charges under the applied voltage. If we place a conductor with current in a magnetic field perpendicular to the direction of the current flow, current carriers (free electrons) will be pushed by Lorentz force towards one of the conductor walls. As a result, a potential difference, called the Hall voltage, is created in the direction of the conductor in the direction perpendicular to the direction of current flow.
